About this event
Accompanied by the music of Tame Impala, experience the beautiful, mind-warping and hypnotizing visuals of Fiske's liquid sky shows. Favorites from the playlist include Breathe Deeper, Patience, and Let It Happen. Bring your friends for a spectacular evening of music and art! Fiske’s mind-melting Liquid Sky is a musical, all-you-can-eat eye candy buffet. The beats & rhythms of your favorie artists coupled with the trippiest visuals digitally rendered live, all on our 8K dome and in full surround sound. Let our Liquid Engineers take you on a live-mixed journey in Fiske Planetarium’s unique immersive theater!
What to expect
The playlist draws from Tame Impala's albums, including Feels Like We Only Go Backwards, New Person, Same Old Mistakes, Is It True, Breathe Deeper, Patience and Let It Happen. Abstract visuals are rendered live on the dome and follow the beats and rhythms. The show runs about an hour. It contains some explicit language or images, and the lights and strobes can affect people prone to seizures.
Why go
This is a concert-style night built around a planetarium dome instead of a stage. Because the visuals are mixed live, the show is a performance rather than a playback. Fiske is a distinctive room on the CU Boulder campus, and the show suits anyone who likes Tame Impala's layered, dreamy sound. It also works as a group outing with friends.
