Who's playing
Cole Lopez grew up in New Orleans and now works as a reader and teacher. She founded Enter the Portal and designed Alchemia Auri Tarot, a 79-card deck built from historical oil paintings and alchemical engravings. Her stated calling is connecting people with their innate healing. She draws on botanicals, divination and the rhythms of the natural world.
What to expect
These are one-on-one astrological tarot readings, which pair the cards with a look at your chart. The approach is reflective and aimed at body, psyche and soul rather than quick fortune-telling. Readings are held within the shop's own space. Cole has also talked about her work in an interview with Boulder Bookstore.
Why go
You can sit with the person who made the deck she reads from. That is unusual even in a town with plenty of tarot. Old Tibet has been on Pearl Street since 1985. It is a family-run shop of singing bowls, jewelry, statues and incense from Nepal and Tibet, and the setting suits the practice.
