Who's playing
Aimee Herman hosts and curates the lineup. Past shows have featured local poets, musicians and comics, and the performers change from month to month. Longmont Out Loud, the Longmont-based group behind the series, presents it on the last Thursday of each month.
What to expect
The curated set runs about an hour and moves between forms, so a poem might be followed by a comic or a band. Then comes the Community Mic, where audience members sign up for a 3-minute slot. The suggested ticket price is flexible, and past shows have been billed as open to all.

Tumbleweed Art Collective is a small studio, boutique and classroom space on Coffman Street that showcases Colorado artists. The room is intimate, and the mix of performers keeps each month different. It is a good way to meet Longmont's local performing community, and you can sign up to perform yourself.
