About this event
Saturday, October 31, 2026 Grab your costumes, round up your ghouls and goblins, and join us for Longmont’s favorite Halloween tradition! Line-up is at 9:30 am and the parade kicks off at 10 am sharp. Everyone’s invited to walk, roll, or stroll down Main Street in costume - no registration needed. Show up ready to show off your spooky style, and be part of a community full of costumed characters, music, and Halloween fun. Families, schools, community groups, and even the family dog (in costume, of course) are welcome! When the parade ends, the fun keeps rolling with Trick-or-Treat Street along Main St. Local businesses will be handing out candy and goodies until the treats run out, so bring your bag and your best “boo!” This is a free, family-friendly event for all ages. Costumes encouraged. Scares optional. Fun guaranteed.
What to expect
Walkers line up at Roosevelt Park, then march east to Main Street and south to Third Avenue. It is a foot parade, so no motorized vehicles. Strollers and wagons are recommended for small kids. Costumes, music and plenty of spectators line the route. When the parade ends, Trick-or-Treat Street begins along Main Street.
Why go
This is a long-running Longmont tradition, and the city's fall brochure counts it as the 47th annual. Anyone can join the parade, so you can march or watch from the curb. Kids end up on Main Street with a bag, collecting candy from local businesses until the treats run out. Scares are optional, which makes it an easy outing for younger children.
