Colorado Volleyball vs Cincinnati
Thursday, October 29 at CU Events Center, Boulder
About this event
Colorado Volleyball vs Cincinnati is a Big 12 match at the CU Events Center on the Boulder campus. The Buffaloes host the Bearcats in a conference matchup that is also streamed on ESPN+. The arena is the home court for CU volleyball and basketball.
Who's playing
Colorado's strength is at the net. The Buffs have been one of the top blocking teams in the Big 12, with middle blocker Cayla Payne among the conference's block leaders. Pin attacker Ana Burilovic is a main scorer and sits high on CU's all-time ace list. Cincinnati, coached by Danijela Tomic, brings outside hitter Sydney Nolan, one of the league's top kill leaders, and setter Kate Lijic.
What to expect
A college volleyball match in the best-of-five format, played on the maple floor of Sox Walseth Court. The Events Center holds more than 11,000 for basketball, and volleyball sets up in a much more intimate way inside the big eight-sided building. The southwest entrance faces the Flatirons, so you walk in with a mountain view.
Why go
This is Big 12 volleyball a short walk from campus, with a team that is strong on defense. Colorado and Cincinnati have met only a few times, so the matchup still feels fresh. If you can't make it, the match is also streamed on ESPN+.
