About this event
Welcome to The Canvas Local Art Bar! Longmont's locally-owned, independent paint and sip studio. We're a modern art studio focused on bringing people together, from first-timers to lifelong creators. Enjoy our locally-sourced drinks and snacks while you create original works with the guidance of our expert artists. This is the quintessential paint and sip experience, redefined. Our Canvas Classics are perfect for friends, couples, or anyone looking for a fun, structured evening out. The Experience: Join a group class led by one of our professional, engaging instructors. We guide you step-by-step through the featured piece, ensuring you go home with a beautiful finished work you'll be proud of. The Upgrade: Forget cheap materials and crowded rooms. Enjoy our refined atmosphere and a menu featuring premium, locally-sourced sips and snacks, making the night as much about the social experience as the art. What You Get: Everything you need to create a painting, expert guidance, and a memorable night of community and creation. Best For: Date nights, group outings, celebrations, and first-time painters.
What to expect
A group class of roughly two and a half to three hours, led by one of the studio's instructors. Everyone paints the same featured piece on a 16x20 inch canvas, and the studio supplies the canvas, paints and brushes. Drinks and snacks come from a menu of local craft beers, wines and area makers, sold à la carte. The featured paintings rotate, and some draw on Colorado scenes like the Flatirons or a Rockies sunset.
Why go
The Canvas is built for people who have never painted, and the step-by-step teaching keeps the night low-pressure. It suits date nights, friend groups and celebrations, and the studio also leans on its local menu and a calmer room than a typical paint night. Since the studio sits in downtown Longmont, dinner nearby before class is easy to arrange.
