Who's playing
The bill mixes genres: Ashen Vaale (melodic metal), RAWN (hip hop), CB's RATiO (folk punk), Kung Fu Juice Box (punk), Rattlesnake (rock) and Haven Slay (country). Noah Balboa, Fables Of The Fall and The Hippie Report are also on the lineup. Sets are short, roughly half an hour each, so the styles change often.
What to expect
A festival-style day built around back-to-back short sets, with food and vendors on site. Blast N Scrap plans to offer harm reduction supplies and on-site screen printing. Best costume wins three months of unlimited gaming lounge access at Bizarre Electronics, a prize the organizers put at around $1,800 if paid out of pocket.
Why go
Ten local-scale acts across metal, punk, hip hop, folk and country is a wide spread for one afternoon. It is also a look at Bizarre Electronics, a Longmont repair shop and gaming lounge that has added its own music stage. The costume contest gives the Halloween crowd something extra to dress up for.
