“...left-of-center/eclectic blues...a monster blues guitarist/singer with an amazing sum of influences: North Mississippi drone blues-meets Jimi/BB/Albert/Curtis Mayfield/Marley filtered-through-Haight Ashbury...” - Bob Lohr, Producer, San Telmo Media
Who's playing
Jack Hadley is a blues guitarist and singer based along the Front Range. He plays regularly around Boulder and Longmont, sometimes solo and sometimes with the full band. Lohr, a producer at San Telmo Media, hears North Mississippi drone blues in his playing. He also hears Jimi Hendrix, B.B. King, Albert King, Curtis Mayfield and Bob Marley, all filtered through Haight-Ashbury.
What to expect
A full-band blues set on The Stage at Bricks, in a room that also holds the shop and Miss Krissy's Bistro. Food and craft cocktails are served on site, so dinner and the show can happen in one place. Bricks hosts live music most nights of the week, with a regular crowd of locals.
Why go
Hadley's blues pulls from several traditions instead of staying in one groove, which makes the set more varied than a standard bar-band night. Bricks on Main is an easy, informal place on Main Street to hear it, and the cover is only a suggestion.
