What to expect
Poses start with short gestures and move to 15 or 25 minute studies. Nobody leads the session, so you draw in your own way and at your own pace. The Firehouse supplies chairs and tables, plus some charcoal and paper. Bringing your own easel and materials is recommended, and everyone cleans up their own area afterward. Space is limited.
Why go
Regular access to a live model is hard to find, and this session gives you one every week without the commitment of a class. The Firehouse is a nonprofit art center and a cornerstone of the Longmont Creative District. The room is an open, high-ceilinged gallery space in a historic building. It suits artists who want steady practice alongside other local drawers.
