Halloween Cat Show

The show is hosted by Garden of the Cats, a nonprofit animal welfare organization that works in Southern Colorado. The group runs its Halloween-themed show, billed as the Hiss-terical Haunting, under TICA sponsorship. TICA is The International Cat Association, which sets the rules for judging. Part of the proceeds goes to a local shelter or rescue.

Cats are judged in rings by a panel of judges. Both championship cats and household pets are shown, including exotic and unusual breeds. Around the rings you will find information booths and vendors. The event is held in the Fairgrounds' Exhibit Building, a large open hall used for trade shows, craft markets and other county events.

Seeing many breeds in one room is rare in Boulder County, and the exhibitors are usually glad to talk about their cats. The Halloween theme keeps it light for kids. Some of the money also goes to local animal rescue.
