Halloween Book Bash
Saturday, October 31 at The Romance Section, Boulder
About this event
Our Monster Book Bash is going to feature six local authors who write monster/paranormal romances! Come get a signed book and some swag, bring the kiddos to decorate a pumpkin, and enjoy some sweet treats! Pumpkins will be $5 to decorate to your heart's content. Sweet treats and temporary tattoos will be available free of charge. Due to space constraints, we will have three authors from 11-1pm and three more from 2-4 so please plan accordingly! RSVP helps us to know how many people to expect. This is a free event to enter.
Who's playing
Six local authors who write monster and paranormal romance are the draw. Because the shop is small, they split into two shifts of three. One group is there in the late morning and early afternoon, and the other comes in for the afternoon. You can pick up a signed book and some swag from whoever is at the table.
What to expect
The event is a come-and-go shop party, with a pumpkin decorating table for kids. Pumpkins cost $5 each, and you can decorate as much as you like. Temporary tattoos and sweet treats are free. The Romance Section stocks only romance novels and bills itself as a third space for its customers, so expect a friendly, chatty crowd of readers.
Why go
Meeting local authors in a small shop is a good way to find new reads, and you can ask them about their books directly. The pumpkins and treats keep it easy for families. An RSVP helps the store plan for the crowd.
