Movie Matinee at Meadows

A craft table opens first, then the movie starts half an hour later. Scooby-Doo and the Witch's Ghost runs 66 minutes and is rated G, with closed captions on. The Mystery Gang visits a small Massachusetts town during its harvest festival, and the Hex Girls, a gothic rock band, turn up there. Snacks are provided. The screening is in the Meadows Meeting Room.

This is a low-key way to spend a Saturday afternoon with kids or friends. The library schedules the matinee for the last Saturday of each month, and the film changes from one month to the next. Meadows is a small neighborhood branch on Baseline Road with a children's play area, so the setting suits families.
