Colorado Buffaloes Mens Basketball vs. San Diego Toreros Mens Basketball
Tuesday, November 10 at CU Events Center, Boulder
About this event
Colorado Buffaloes men's basketball hosts the Abilene Christian Wildcats at the CU Events Center on the Boulder campus. It is a non-conference home game for a Big 12 program, played in the arena the Buffs have used since 1979. The building seats just over 11,000 and sits against the Flatirons.
Who's playing
Colorado represents the University of Colorado Boulder in the Big 12 and plays its home games on the Events Center's maple floor, which carries the buffalo logo. Abilene Christian is the Wildcats program from Abilene, Texas, and arrives as the road team. Their roster has featured scorers such as Bradyn Hubbard, who led the team in scoring in recent stats.
What to expect
A standard college basketball night with two halves, a student section, band and video boards, and concession stands on the main concourse. The arena seats 11,064, and the sightlines are good from most seats. Fans call the building "the Keg." Early-season non-conference games usually draw a more relaxed crowd than Big 12 nights.
Why go
It is an easy way to see Division I basketball in Boulder without a big-ticket opponent. The walk up to the arena's southwest entrance looks straight at the Flatirons, which is a good start to the evening. The game is also a chance to see how Colorado's roster looks before conference play starts.
